Glue4Life wins Arctic15: named the best innovation shaping the future.

LifeGlue Technologies has won the 100 Innovations Shaping the Future competition at Arctic15 2026. One hundred international innovations were evaluated on technological novelty, scientific validation and commercial maturity. LifeGlue advanced to the top 15 finalists and was selected as the winner in Helsinki on 12 June.

At the heart of the win is Glue4Life, a bioink for 3D bioprinting of human tissues. The product is based on hyaluronic acid and contains no animal-derived components, setting it apart from most current products in the field and opening a clear path to clinical use.

"Bioprinting has advanced rapidly, but materials remain the biggest bottleneck in the field. Glue4Life was developed to address exactly this challenge", says Laura Kuittinen, CEO of LifeGlue Technologies.

The innovation was developed by researcher Anni Mörö in Professor Heli Skottman's research group at Tampere University, where the team studied 3D bioprinting of the human cornea. The company was founded in December 2024 and has since grown to 13 paying customers across three continents. The technology is backed by ten peer-reviewed publications and a granted patent in the United States.
